Mountain Dog Terms of Service
Welcome to "Mountain Dog" ("the Game"), an Android game by Fayang ("we"). By downloading, installing, or using the Game, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game. This English version is a translation; if it conflicts with the Traditional Chinese version, the Chinese version prevails unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
1. Minors
The Game is suitable for all ages. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), please have a parent or guardian read and agree to these Terms before you use the Game.
2. License
We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable, revocable right to install and play the Game on Android devices you own or control. We own, or are licensed to use, the Game's code, art, text, name, and other content. We keep all rights not expressly granted in these Terms.
3. Game content
- The Game is free and has no paid content.
- Dogs, nutrition, the dog roster, and everything else in the Game are game content only. They have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money or anything else.
- A "boost" requires watching a rewarded ad, and the number of boosts per day is limited. Ads are not always available, and you only get the boost if the ad finishes.
- We may change game rules, values, and content at any time to keep the Game working well.
4. Text you enter
You can name your dog and type any "food" text. This text stays on your device and is never sent to us. Please do not enter personal information, other people's information, or illegal or offensive content. You are responsible for what you enter.
5. Game data
Game data is stored only on your device (and in Android backups in your own Google account, if you turned them on). Uninstalling, clearing data, switching devices, or a failed backup can lose your game data. We keep no copies and cannot restore it for you. "Sending a dog on an adventure" makes the current dog leave permanently and cannot be undone.
6. Prohibited conduct
When using the Game, you must not:
- generate fake ad views or taps with automated tools, modified code, or any other means;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Game, except where the law expressly allows it;
- sell, rent, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Game;
- break the law or infringe anyone else's rights.
7. Third-party services
The Game is distributed through Google Play and shows ads through Google AdMob. Google's terms and policies also apply when you use these services. Ads come from third parties and do not represent our views. We are not responsible for the products or services in ads.
8. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Game is provided "as is". We do not promise that the Game is error-free, uninterrupted, or will run on your device.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using or being unable to use the Game, including lost game data. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law where you live, or affects your rights under consumer protection law.
10. Discontinuation
We may stop updating or change the Game, or remove it from Google Play, at any time. If you break these Terms, the rights these Terms give you end automatically.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms and will change the effective date on this page. If a change significantly affects you, we will tell you on this page or in the Game's update notes before it takes effect. If you keep using the Game after a change takes effect, you agree to the new Terms.
12. Governing law and courts
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any dispute about these Terms or the Game will go first to the Taiwan Taipei District Court. This does not affect the mandatory protections consumers have under the law where they live, such as the right to sue in their home courts.
